There's a geography trap in Limerick that catches a lot of TUS students: most of the city's purpose-built student accommodation was built for the University of Limerick, on the east side of the city — but the TUS Moylish campus is on the north side. Book the wrong block and you've signed up for a long daily cross-city commute. TUS owns no accommodation itself, so getting this right is on you. Our TUS Limerick accommodation guide spells out which stock actually suits Moylish.
The closest purpose-built option is Thomond Student Village, a gated complex within about a kilometre of Moylish that sits between the campus and UL, so it serves both. Its booking is handled by the agent PMI, and its website is awkward to access, so the practical move is to phone PMI for current 2026/27 rates rather than rely on what you find online — the contacts are on the hub.
For most Moylish students, though, the answer is digs and house shares on the north side — Caherdavin, Thomondgate, Moylish itself — booked through Tussu, the TUS Students' Union portal, which carries the bulk of Limerick listings (digs around €140 a week, owner-occupied rooms nearer €175). Filtering Tussu for the Moylish area is the single most useful thing you can do.
Transport-wise, Limerick city buses serve Moylish, and Colbert Station gives you rail and Bus Éireann links from Ennis, Nenagh and further out for anyone commuting. A Student Leap Card discounts fares (the Dublin €3/€12 cap doesn't apply in Limerick).
So: prioritise north-side stock, use Tussu as your main tool, confirm Thomond's rate by phone, and — as always — never transfer a deposit for a place you haven't viewed. It's worth a look at your grant and Rent Tax Credit options too, since they can meaningfully cut the annual cost.
