- Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it CourseCompass and paste the connection address.
- Select no authentication if prompted, then connect and review access.
Plan limits and workspace policies may affect access.

- Choose Create app, paste the connection address and select no authentication.
- Create and test the app. Your workspace administrator may need to approve it.
Custom MCP access depends on your plan and workspace permissions. If these options are absent, check OpenAI’s current availability.

The connector does not read private student records or assess a student’s personal suitability. Check entry requirements and dates on the official pages linked in each answer.
Do not send names, contact details, PPS numbers or sensitive information. The usage counter stores aggregate tool, audience, information-need and fixed product-line counts, not conversation or search text. Your assistant provider and hosting services may process requests under their own policies.
