CourseCompass started because we sat where these students sit. The decisions that shape the rest of your life arrive in the middle of exams, with very little time and very little clarity. We build the guidance we wished we had, and we build it with the counsellors who do this work every day.
Working hard, because students deserve it
We are a team that puts the work in. Every assessment, report and course listing is checked against the real world — tested with students, reviewed by guidance counsellors, and rewritten until it actually helps a 16 year old make sense of their next step. We are not chasing trends or adding noise; we are trying our best to build something useful, honest and built around the student. If it does not genuinely make a young person's decision easier, it does not go in.

How we work with schools
Designed beside guidance counsellors
We spend our weeks in guidance offices, watching how counsellors actually use their time. That is where the platform comes from: reports written so they can be read in the five minutes before a student walks in, dashboards that surface who needs a conversation next, and worksheets that work on a printer in a classroom.
Our job is not to replace that conversation. It is to make sure the counsellor walks into it already knowing the student.
The unglamorous part: reading every report
Most of our week is spent on detail. Rewording a question so a third year understands it. Checking a course listing against the official source. Reading student reports line by line and asking whether a 16 year old would actually recognise themselves in it.
It is slow work, and it is the reason schools trust what comes out the other end.

We do not want to be a piece of software a school logs into. We want to be the guidance partner a school leans on — especially schools working with limited counselling hours and a full cohort of students who all need answers at once.
