NCAD has no accommodation of its own, but its location does a lot of the work: the college is on Thomas Street in Dublin 8, in the heart of the Liberties, with two purpose-built student blocks within a couple of minutes' walk. The closest block is Highlight Thomas Street, run by Fresh, a literal two-minute walk from NCAD. It offers en-suite rooms and studios with all bills and contents insurance included, and 2026/27 terms (41 and 51 weeks) are open — you book through its enquiry system, so contact them for the current rate. Binary Hub, an aparto residence a short walk away in the Liberties, is the other obvious choice; its booking site doesn't expose prices to a quick look, so phone or enquire for current figures. Between them, these two are the simplest "secure-it-now" options for an NCAD student.
For better value, digs and house shares in the Liberties, Smithfield and Portobello put you within walking distance for less, and the NCAD Students' Union runs an accommodation network group that's good for finding house shares with fellow art-and-design students. The college points students to the usual listing sites and is blunt about one thing in particular: never hand over money without viewing in person and signing a lease.
Being in central Dublin 8, transport is easy — a bus stop right outside, the Luas Red Line nearby, and the Student Leap Card's €3/€12 fare cap in play.
So the NCAD plan is straightforward: if you want certainty, book Highlight or Binary Hub early (Dublin PBSA fills fast); if you want value, work the Liberties digs and the SU network.
