1. At a glance
Griffith College Cork is CAO-listed: the 2026 Level 8 list shows six Cork courses (GC200 Business, GC201 Accounting and Finance, GC212 Accounting, GC213 Finance, GC222 Procurement and Supply Chain Management, GC230 Computing Science). No Cork entries appear on the 2026 Level 7/6 list.
2. What Griffith offers in Cork
Griffith's Cork accommodation is arranged through its admissions office, which points students to the off-campus halls, hostels and host families named in section 3 and in the Cork Accommodation Guide. (The Halls of Residence on Griffith's accommodation page are Griffith's Dublin residences.)
3. Partner / private options the college lists
Griffith's admissions page lists these Cork options: Deanshall, EazyCity, Hatch, VivaIreland and Stay Cork. Its 2025/26 Cork Accommodation Guide (PDF on griffith.ie; it is the current published guide, dated 2025/26) lists, as off-campus student halls/apartments: Easy City, Viva Ireland, Melbourne Point Student Residence, Stay Cork and Lee Point; and as short-term hostels: Sheila's Hostel and Bru Hostel. Alternatives listed: Airbnb, Daft private rentals and Hosting Power. Griffith can arrange host-family (home stay) accommodation for incoming students, with most meals provided; the guide warns that host families tend to live in the suburbs, so students can expect to travel up to an hour or more to campus, and that house rules may not suit older students (contact [email protected]). Deans Hall (UCC-published 2025/26 range EUR 6,053-6,214 plus charges, EUR 300 deposit, [email protected]) also appears on UCC's list.
4. Private renting and digs
Griffith's 2025/26 Cork guide says rented accommodation in Cork can cost from EUR 100 to EUR 400 and above per week, rent not usually including bills, with a deposit usually one month's rent plus one month in advance (general guidance; note the RTB student-specific accommodation limits below). UCC's 2026/27 advice gives EUR 650-850 per month as typical for private rentals, house shares and digs in Cork. RTB Rent Index Q1 2026 (whole property, not a room): Cork City new tenancies EUR 1,903/month.
5. Getting around
Griffith's admissions office provides guidance on transit options to the campus. Student Leap Card Cork city bus fares (about.leapcard.ie/cork, fetched 30 Sept 2026): EUR 0.85 per journey, EUR 2.55 daily cap, EUR 10.20 weekly cap.

7. Accessibility, international, mature
Griffith's Learning Support department supports learners with disabilities and learning difficulties on all campuses: register by emailing [email protected], attend a Learning Needs Assessment (about 50 minutes) and complete reasonable accommodation consent forms (https://www.griffith.ie/learnerhub/learning-support-services). DARE: https://accesscollege.ie. International students and host-family placements: [email protected].
8. Timeline for September 2027 entry
UCC advises starting the search in January, since many private options are gone by the end of February.
9. Check before paying
Student-specific accommodation: deposit capped at one month's rent and no more than one month's rent in advance (more only if rent and tuition are paid to the same provider and the landlord agrees); agreements should not exceed 41 weeks unless you ask (RTB). Digs are licences: get terms in writing.

How to ask the college
- How long is the contract, and what are the exact move-in and move-out dates?
- What's included in the rent (electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bins, insurance)?
- How much is the deposit, and when and how is it refunded?
- What are the cancellation terms if you don't get your CAO offer or change course?
- Are there rules for first years (priority, distance rules, age limits, lotteries)?
If you don't get a room
- Ask the accommodation office about waiting lists and late availability.
- Use the college's own listing service or students' union listings shown on this page.
- Consider digs (a room in a family home): see the digs and rent-a-room guide.
- Work out whether commuting is realistic using the transport details on this page.
- Start looking in spring. Don't wait for CAO offers in August.
