DCU's international/postgraduate page lists two All Hallows residences, Purcell House and O'Donnell House, but gives prices only under Purcell House. DCU does not say whether these are separate buildings, so check the residence named on your offer.

The single shared-bathroom price differs between the pages (€6,324.00 against €6,666.24).

DCU's accommodation pages cover DCU-run residences only; DCU Students' Union's Studentpad covers everything else (section 4).
4. Private renting and digs
DCU does not manage off-campus housing. DCU Students' Union runs DCU Studentpad (https://www.dcustudentpad.ie/), described as the official student accommodation search engine for DCU students (filter by campus, area, property type and rent; property alerts; housing advice and a student message board; operated technically by Studentpad Limited; DCUSU takes no responsibility for listings). DCUSU: [email protected], +353 1 700 5392, The U Building, Glasnevin Campus. Students in an accommodation crisis can email DCUSU's VP for Wellbeing or VP for Community and Citizenship with 'Emergency Accommodation' in the subject line (DCU Student Life page). RTB Rent Index Q1 2026: Dublin City Council area new-tenancy average €2,301 per month (whole-property).
5. Getting around
DCU states St Patrick's Campus is a 5-minute walk away, and that its campuses are connected by bus services and short walking distances. Student Leap Card caps €3/day and €12/week in Dublin Zone 1 (Transport for Ireland).

How to ask the college
- How long is the contract, and what are the exact move-in and move-out dates?
- What's included in the rent (electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bins, insurance)?
- How much is the deposit, and when and how is it refunded?
- What are the cancellation terms if you don't get your CAO offer or change course?
- Are there rules for first years (priority, distance rules, age limits, lotteries)?
If you don't get a room
- Ask the accommodation office about waiting lists and late availability.
- Use the college's own listing service or students' union listings shown on this page.
- Consider digs (a room in a family home): see the digs and rent-a-room guide.
- Work out whether commuting is realistic using the transport details on this page.
- Start looking in spring. Don't wait for CAO offers in August.
