Money and welfare support
Money and welfare support: contact the BIMM Institute Dublin Student Support Team ([email protected], +353 1 513 3666).
1. At a glance
BIMM Institute Dublin's four-year BA (Hons) Commercial Modern Music (TU961) is a TU Dublin Level 8 degree; Irish and EU applicants apply through CAO (2026 cycle: closing 1 February, late applications 1 May), so it appears on the CAO list under TU Dublin. TU Dublin says all applicants must attend an audition or interview, with video auditions for overseas applicants. BIMM's Dublin sites are 62-64 Francis Street (D08 X209) and 115 The Coombe, both in the Liberties, Dublin 8.
Where to get accommodation
BIMM Institute Dublin runs no residence. Its official route for 2026/27 entry is Amber, through an exclusive link sent after you firmly accept a BIMM offer (you must be 18+ and BIMM must be your firm choice); BIMM also lists private halls and recommends Daft.ie, MyHome.ie and Rent.ie. 2. On-campus / college-owned accommodation
BIMM runs no residence of its own; its accommodation page directs students to its Amber partnership and to private halls and agents (below), and its Student Support Team gives accommodation advice.
3. Partner / private purpose-built student accommodation
BIMM says it has partnered with Amber for the 2026/27 academic year entry. Steps: apply for a degree, firmly accept an offer, use BIMM's exclusive link to browse, complete the booking. You must be 18+ and BIMM must be your firm choice. BIMM also lists private halls: Binary Hub, The Loom, Griffith Halls of Residence, JB's Student Residences, Buckley Hall, Hey Day at Carman's Hall, The Tannery (Destiny Student) and Fresh Student Living. BIMM's accommodation page, written for 2026/27 entry, gives cost guidance of €600 to €1,100 a month for student halls (bills included) and €574 to €1,100 a month for house or flat shares (bills not included).
4. Private renting & digs
BIMM recommends South Circular Road, Crumlin, Phibsborough and Cabra, Smithfield and Stoneybatter, Drumcondra, Glasnevin and Finglas, Rialto, Kilmainham and Inchicore. For private lets BIMM says to expect a landlord-set deposit plus one month's rent up front, and possible letting-agent fees for contract preparation, references and inventory. Rent context, not a room price (RTB Rent Index Q1 2026, Dublin City Council area, whole-property averages): €2,301 a month for new tenancies and €1,901 for existing tenancies.
5. Getting around
BIMM states that buses (service until 11:30pm), DART and Luas serve the campus, that there are dedicated cycle lanes, and that there is no on-site parking. Student and Young Adult Leap Card (Transport for Ireland): €1.00 for the 90-minute fare in Dublin, caps €3.00 a day and €12.00 a week in Zone 1.
6. Supports
BIMM Dublin, 62-64 Francis Street: +353 1 513 3666, [email protected], [email protected]. BIMM's Student Support Team offers wellbeing tutorials, referrals to counselling and accommodation advice (https://www.bimm.ie/student-support).
7. Accessibility
BIMM's Learning Support team supports students with disabilities, neurodiversity and learning differences, and asks students to disclose their needs as early as possible in the application process so supports are in place before arrival (https://www.bimm.ie/student-support). 8. International & mature/postgrad notes
TU Dublin's TU961 page says non-EU international applicants apply directly to TU Dublin. BIMM's own page adds no international-specific accommodation terms.
9. Timeline for Sept 2027 entry
Under the 2026/27 rule, the Amber booking link comes after you firmly accept a BIMM offer. 2027/28 dates and partner are not yet published.

How to ask the college
- How long is the contract, and what are the exact move-in and move-out dates?
- What's included in the rent (electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bins, insurance)?
- How much is the deposit, and when and how is it refunded?
- What are the cancellation terms if you don't get your CAO offer or change course?
- Are there rules for first years (priority, distance rules, age limits, lotteries)?
If you don't get a room
- Ask the accommodation office about waiting lists and late availability.
- Use the college's own listing service or students' union listings shown on this page.
- Consider digs (a room in a family home): see the digs and rent-a-room guide.
- Work out whether commuting is realistic using the transport details on this page.
- Start looking in spring. Don't wait for CAO offers in August.
